Please read the rules here before you post.
Giving someone a critique is very personal and nerve wracking. Remember that we need to find something positive to tell the person we are critiquing. We are here to help everyone become better writers. Negative critiques will be deleted - we are going to keep this a place where everyone feels comfortable posting.
Here are some guides to follow:
1. No trolling, spamming, or flaming. Be nice, folks.
2. Look for the positive in the writing you are critiquing.
3. Make sure that if you are criticizing someone's grammar or spelling, that your grammar or spelling is correct.
4. Give advice on how to improve. Don't just say, "It's good!" when you can say, "I really liked the way you developed the main character. I wish you would have described how she looks a little more. When you talked about how she was angry at her mother, I really felt for her." Remember, we're here to show people how to improve.
5. If you want someone to critique your work, review another person's work.
Let's keep positive, stay happy, and keep writing!
